Kaʻu
Subdivisions covered by the Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the Ka'u district are Discovery Harbor, Mark Twain Estates, Green Sands/Kiolakaa-Keaʻa Homesteads, South Point, and the areas of Waiohinu, Naʻalehu, Pahala, Wood Valley, and Kapapala.
Ocean View
The Ocean View Community Wildfire Protection Plan includes a portion of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Ocean View Estates, Hawaiian Ranchos, Kula Kai View Estates, and the Manuka Natural Area Reserve.
Volcano
This plan includes Mauna Loa Estates, Ohia Estates, Volcano Village, and the Volcano Golf Course Community.
South Kona
The South Kona area includes Kealakekua, Captain Cook, Honaunau, Napoʻopoʻo, Keʻei, Miloiʻi, Noʻokena, Papa Bay, Kona Paradise, and other smaller communities and farm areas.
